Files you upload

Files are transferred over an encrypted HTTPS connection.
They are converted on our own server. They are not sent to any third-party service or API.
The original file and the converted file are permanently deleted one hour after upload. You can delete them immediately with the “Delete now” button.
Nobody looks at your documents, and they are never used for any other purpose, including training software or artificial intelligence.
Each conversion gets a random, unguessable identifier. Only the person who uploaded a file can download the result.

Information we collect

We do not require an account and we do not ask for your name or e-mail address to convert files. To protect the service against abuse, our server keeps your IP address and the time of your conversions for a maximum of 24 hours. Like every website, our web server also writes standard technical logs (IP address, page requested, browser type), which are kept for a short period for security and troubleshooting.

Cookies, advertising and statistics

The converter itself does not need cookies. To keep the service free, this website displays advertising through Google AdSense and measures its audience with Google Analytics. These Google services may use cookies and similar technologies to show ads, limit their repetition, measure their performance and produce anonymous visit statistics. They never have access to the files you convert.

When you first visit the site from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a consent message lets you accept or refuse personalized advertising and cookies. If you refuse, Google may still show non-personalized ads, which use limited cookies only for frequency capping, fraud prevention and aggregated reporting. You can change your choice at any time with the “Privacy and cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page.

Contacting us

If you write to us by e-mail, we receive your e-mail address and your message, only to answer you. Messages are deleted when they are no longer needed and are never shared or used for marketing.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and similar laws, you can ask to access or delete any personal data about you. Because we keep almost nothing, there is usually nothing to delete — but we are happy to answer any request through the contact page. For data processed by Google advertising and analytics, you can also use the tools provided by Google linked above.
